Zanware In-Wall PC Controller
As more and more devices are networked in the home, and as more and more music, photo and movie files are located in a media server and then viewed or listened to someplace else, there has to be a way to get access to that PC from all over the house.
That's the concept behind the Zanware PC controller, a $330 unit that fits in a 3-gang UL electrical box (bet you didn't know I knew what one was? --Alice) and connects to your network via an ethernet cable.
Cool idea, but the cable part is what won't work for me at least. Maybe the ZanWare people can join the ZigBee folks (see a few stories down) and come out with a well-needed wireless version.
