U.S. Broadband Adoption Soars
Newsfactor Network reports that: "The Federal Communications Commission says the number of broadband connections jumped 42 percent in 2003 as the use of both ADSL (asymmetric digital subscriber line) and cable modems rose robustly. The data comes as a result of an ongoing research initiative, which the commission started in 1999 to monitor the effects of the Telecommunications Act of 1996."
